School Uniforms
During the foundation visit to the townships of Kundorwahun and Pejewa, we saw children going to school without having the appropriate uniforms. In our experience, not having the appropriate dress code has a direct impact to a child’s moral, confidence and focus. Not to mention the fact that other children can also influence the mindset of those without the proper uniform.
This could potentially force the child without the proper uniform to stop going to school for their education. With that, the impact to that child could lead to the inability to learn and grow at school. It could also lead to the child to get involve in activities outside of school that can be detrimental to them, their health and their life.
The foundation is focused on making everyone in the townships to be self-sustaining and self-reliant. For the students to focus on their own growth in school, not being able to afford a uniform to wear, based on the school dress code, should not influence their ability to focus on their education.
With that, the foundation provided uniforms for one thousand (1,000) student, so that they can focus on learning in school to get their education and grown themselves.
“One of the concerned where the uniforms which the foundation laid to rest for this academic year.”, Mr. Abdulai J. Massaquoi, junior secondary school teacher; ICS
